My teaching and research is focused on Modern British, Irish and American Literature, Drama, and Theory, Currently, I am working on a book-length project exploring the historical and philosophical underpinnings of Camp (as in ìHow campy, dahling!î). I am particularly excited by the work of writers like Oscar Wilde, Ford Madox Ford, Wyndham Lewis, Mina Loy, Virginia Woolf, Ronald Firbank, Djuna Barnes, Sacheverell Sitwell, and Carl Van Vechten. My interest in Theory includes the work of thinkers like Jacques Lacan, Henri Lefebvre, Walter Benjamin, Alain Badiou, and Jacques RanciËre.
