Bio/Research

Dr. Beth P. Skott is an Associate Professor of Sociology and the Chair of the Social Science Program. She advises Social Science students studying Sociology, Criminal Justice, Pre-law, Psychology, and History. She assists in the teaching and oversight of the Criminology track within the Criminal Justice and Human Security program. At the undergraduate level, some of her more popular courses include SOC 204 Marriage and Family, SOC 315 Criminology, SOC 118 Introduction to Criminal Justice, and SOSC 300 Research Methods. Dr. Skott has recently written a book with Sage Publication on Research Methods for students which has been used at universities across the country.
