In the field of leadership, Dr. Catherine McGregor is particularly interested in promoting the role of teachers as leaders in schools and communities on bringing about social and educational change. Her teaching has focused in the fields of policy, gender and leadership, and the social and cultural contexts of education in diverse communities.
Dr. McGregor represents UVic as a member of the newly formed Educational Leadership Network, an initiative of the BC Deans of Education. She is a member of a number of associations, including the Canadian Association of Women in Education, the Canadian Association for the Study of Educational Administration and a practicing member of the BC College of Teachers.
