Bio/Research

Denise Moreau is a nurse and has a Master’s degree in Nursing (Community Health) from the University of Montréal and a PhD in Educational Technology from Concordia University. She teaches at both the undergraduate (NSG 3702 & NSG 3503) and graduate level (NSG 5610). Since 1999, she has also taught the women’s health course at the undergraduate level for the University of Ottawa Institute of Women’s Studies.

Her clinical area of expertise in nursing is maternal and child health. She has been teaching both theory and clinical practice in this area for 12 years.

Her research interests are women’s health, mothering and motherhood and communication strategies in health promotion.

Since 1998, Professor Moreau has been a member of the honor society of nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, University of Ottawa School of Nursing Chapter.
