Bio/Research

James completed his MBA at the University of New Mexico and doctorate in chiropractic medicine at the Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri.

He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, American Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists, Florida Chiropractic Physician Association, New Mexico Chiropractic Association, and the Connecticut Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Lehman provided healthcare services in private practice and with a large group practice/hospital for over 33 years in New Mexico. His chiropractic practice involved the evaluation and management of musculoskeletal conditions, which included a variety of diseases and neuromusculoskeletal conditions.

Prior to moving to Connecticut, Dr. Lehman practiced in Albuquerque, New Mexico, served as a chiropractic orthopedist at the Lovelace Medical Center, and mentored fourth year medical clerks as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.

Currently, Dr. Lehman is an Associate Professor of Clinical Sciences and Director of Health Sciences Postgraduate Education at the University of Bridgeport. He is board-certified as a chiropractic orthopedist, teaches orthopedic and neurological examination, and provides clinical rotations in sports medicine and neuromusculoskeletal medicine. James serves as the team chiropractor for the Bridgeport Bluefish, staff chiropractor for the Community Health Center in Meriden, CT, and mentors fourth-year chiropractic clerks and one resident in training.

He has authored four feature articles in the ACA News regarding health care reform, evidence-based practice and postgraduate education for chiropractors.
