Wit was a key participant in establishing the Korean Peninsular Energy Development Organization (KEDO) and continues to serve as part of the KEDO Oral History Project. Wit has served as Senior Advisor to Ambassador Robert L. Galluci, as Coordinator for the U.S.-North Korea’s weapons program and as Coordinator for the U.S.-North Korea Agreed Framework. He was a Guest Scholar at the Brookings Institute and is currently a Senior Fellow of the International Security Program, Center for Strategic and International Studies.
