Bio/Research

Jooyeoun Suh’s work has primarily focused on improving both the measurement and valuation of time devoted to family care, exploring in particular the roles of economic and socio-demographic factors. In the classroom, she enjoys sharing thoughts, comments, and questions with her students. Interactions between students and her – instigated by her efforts to bring economic principles into their lives and facilitated by the open, trusting relationships she tries to establish with them – have also inspired and motivated her research. Time use in general and caregiving in particular are topics that have immediate relevance for most everyone.
