Bio/Research

Judi Randi, Ed.D. is an educational researcher whose research program focuses on instructional innovations, adaptive teaching, and self regulated learning. Dr. Randi works with teachers to promote and document teachers’ own research-based instructional innovations adapted to particular students and contexts. Through this “collaborative innovation” process, Dr. Randi has documented teachers’ adaptive teaching practices, including how teachers adapt their instruction to students at the same time that they encourage students to adapt themselves to instruction through self regulating their own learning. Her recent research has described teachers designing visual literacy and other practices that promote students’ creativity.
