Bio/Research

I am a Professor at Queen's University in Kingston Ontario Canada. My academic interests include general relativity (Einstein's theory of gravity), relativistic astrophysics, computer algebra and its applications. Recent formal research topics have included studies of the propagation of discontinuities in solutions of Einstein's equations (the formation of structure in the universe) and the formation of naked singularities in gravitational collapse (a refinement of our notion of cosmic censorship). Students interested in graduate work are encouraged to contact me directly regarding current topics of interest and availability of space.
