Bio/Research

Nicolas Moreau's academic profile is multidisciplinary (Sociology, Public Health and Kinesiology) and multicultural (France and Québec). His Ph.D. focused on analysis of depressive symptomatology as an indicator of social norms. In the School of Social Work, Nicolas Moreau teaches Mental Health (SVS 3504 for Bachelor and SVS 6503 for Master's) and Methodology of Research (SVS 6510; Master's). Nicolas Moreau's field of research is two fold. The first one is about social representations and intervention technics in the area of mental health with the following points as backdrop: social medicalization and psychologization on the one hand and the complex relationship between " normality ", " deviance " and " pathology " on the other. The second one examines the sports in a sociological perspective.
