I have contributed to research initiatives designed to inform practice and policy through analyses of the social contexts that create barriers to health, affect health seeking, and influence health system responses. In particular, I have examined how gender, diversity, and place influence health behaviour. My particular research program has focused on cardiovascular risk reduction and the psychosocial determinants of health risk behaviour.
