Bio/Research

Grossman has published extensively on energy-related issues. In 2014, Cambridge University Press issued his analytic history of American energy policy, titled U.S. Energy Policy and the Pursuit of Failure, which was endorsed by Nobel Laureate Thomas Schelling and was called - The Energy Book of the Year - on a popular blog. He is also co-author of a primer on energy and public policy (Introduction to Energy, Cambridge University Press 1990, 1998), and co-editor and principal author of The End of a Natural Monopoly: Deregulation and Competition in the Electric Power Industry, (Taylor & Francis). His scholarly articles on energy have appeared in such journals as Energy Policy, the Cato Journal, and the Journal of Public Policy.

Dr. Grossman has published more than 200 works in all, including seven books and articles for both scholarly and general publications. From 2000 through 2007 he wrote a monthly column on economic issues for the Indianapolis Star, and he has contributed numerous commentaries to such publications as the Wall Street Journal and the Christian Science Monitor.
