Bio/Research

Stephen Malloy is a Director and Teacher with over 25 years of experience in Canadian Theatre. His interests include: Directing, Acting, and the Role of Fate, Genetics and Family in Drama. He has dramaturged and directed first productions of new work by Canadian playwrights such as Dennis Foon, Ian Weir, Gordon Armstrong and Michael O'Brien. He is the author of Fallin’ In Love, a first Place Winner of the Open Space National Playwrighting Competition. His current projects include the direction of a new docudrama and an original music video. His current research is focussed on the application and adaptation of the Stage Director’s process to the mediums of video and film.
