Bio/Research

Bahrani has written and commented on Mesopotamian art, the cultural heritage of Iraq and the impact of war on Iraq’s ancient artifacts. In addition, she has served, through an appointment by the U.S. State Department, as Senior Consultant for Culture to the Coalition Provisional Authority, to help in the reconstruction of the National Museum in Iraq.
