Suksi's research focuses on the culture of democratic Athens in the fifth and fourth centuries BC as revealed by authors of drama, rhetoric, and philosophy. She is particularly interested in intergenericity and intertextuality in the ancient Greek literary tradition, and how these generate meaning in very public, as well as more private, contexts of production.
As well, Suksi is interested in the reception of texts from the Greek literary tradition in Latin literature and in contemporary writing.
