Abdul Elezzabi graduated from Brock University in 1987 with a B.Sc. in Physics. He went on to complete M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. Following a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Alberta in 1996-97, he became a professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Currently Prof. Elezzabi holds the prestigious position of a Canada Research Chair in Ultrafast Photonics and Nano-Optics.
