Dr. Lauzon's main research interests are the foundations of adult education and development, community capacity development, and technology in education and development.
He has degrees in psychology, extension education, adult education and community development. Over the last few years, he has taught a number of different courses including adult learning and development; foundations of capacity development; research design; qualitative analysis; extension, change and development; and sustainable rural communities.
Lauzon is currently a Member of the Canadian Association for the Study of Adult Education, the American Association of Continuing and Adult Education, an editor of the "Journal of Rural and Community Development", and the chair of the board of directors of the Ontario Rural Council. In addition to these activities, he is a member of the Adult Working Group, Health and Learning Knowledge Centre, Canadian Council on Learning; a member of the Social Economy for the Ontario Consultative Working Group, Industry Canada/ FEDNOR; and a member of the Innovative Rural Communities Project Advisory Group.
