Bio/Research
Professor White came to the University of Bridgeport in 2011 after teaching at Parsons the New School for Design, FIT, SUNY-Westchester, City College of New York, and Manhattanville College. He received tenure from the University of Hartford in 1990, where he taught for 15 years as the Senior Professor in Graphic Design at the Hartford Art School. White served for 11 years on the Board of the Type Directors Club in New York, the world’s preeminent professional typographic organization, retiring as Chairman Emeritus. He has written eight books, two of which have been translated into Chinese, and numerous articles and online tutorials on design and typography.
