Alex received his masters degree in physics from the TU Wien Austria. In 2002, he started his PhD studies on the topic Phase Information in Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the Vienna Medical University. In 2003, he moved to Jena, Germany, where he continued his PhD work. Bio/Research

Alex received his masters degree in physics from the TU Wien Austria. In 2002, he started his PhD studies on the topic Phase Information in Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the Vienna Medical University. In 2003, he moved to Jena, Germany, where he continued his PhD work. In 2007, Alex joined the UBC MRI Research Centre in Vancouver, Canada. In November 2010 he was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of British Columbia.

Alex tries to ski a lot and every now and then he writes a science related article for an Austrian newspaper.
