Dr. Andre Lamy is a cardiac surgeon at the Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation. He has a strong interest in clinical epidemiology and health economics in the field of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Lamy directs his research group, CADENCE at the Hamilton General Hospital. His interests are into clinical trials for testing new drugs in cardiac surgery or new procedures like the beating heart surgery with the Canadian Off-Pump Registry. His interest in health economics includes economic analysis of trials in the field of cardiovascular diseases like HOPE and CURE and other trials with various Heparin compounds and new surgical techniques.
