Andrea Bedard is a PhD student at the University of Manitoba in the Applied Health Sciences program. She has been an Instructor at both the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg for 10 years in the areas of physical activity, health and wellness, and physical activity for special populations with a specific focus on aging. Her current areas of interest include physical activity and osteoporosis, exercise prescription and adherence for mature women, and interprofessional collaborative practice. Courses currently teaching: Issues in Health, Adapted Physical Activity, Physical Activity and Aging. She sits on the board for the Active Living Coalition for Older Adults, the Manitoba Fitness Council and the education committee for the Osteoporosis Society of Canada, Manitoba Chapter.
