Dr. Breen's current research focuses on dog-human relationships, young peoples' contributions to family caregiving, storytelling and identity development in young adults, and decolonizing research methods. She is co-director of the new Families Interacting with Dogs (FIDO) research group and co-editor of the 2019 book, "Research and Reconciliation: Unsettling Ways of Knowing through Indigenous Relationships".
