Dr. Andrea Breen is an Associate Professor of Family Relations and Human Development and Director of the FIDO Research Lab at the University of Guelph, where she leads research on dog-human relationships that aims to enhance wellbeing at both ends of the leash. Her work also focuses on critical and creative approaches to research, respectful engagement with Indigenous ways of knowing, family care relationships, and the psychology of storytelling and identity development. Dr. Breen’s educational background includes degrees in developmental psychology and education and professional certification as a dog trainer.
