Bio/Research

My research interests are:

Theoretical and Phenomenological Problems of Reactions with Polarized Particles.

As a result of the EMC results (now complemented by the SMC and SLC results), we have studied the polarized gluon distribution in the nucleon at Born QCD order. In particular we have studied complete higher order corrections (HOC) for direct photon production at high pT and proposed experiments to be carried out at RHIC.

Theoretical and Phenomenological Problems of small-x Physics and of Elastic and Diffractive Scattering.

HERA and future LHC results make the small-x field very active. We have developed a non-perturbative approach based on Dispersion Theory and the theory of complex angular momentum l. The resulting Pomeron has several features in common with that of Lipatov. Presently we are extending our non-perturbative approach to a determination of the Odderon concept, and are studying certain questions regarding the unitarization of the Pomeron and the Odderon.

Studies of models of intermittency in relation to heavy ion collisions and possible manifestations of quark-gluon plasmas.

Experimental signatures for partons and particles predicted by SUSY or superstring-inspired models.
