Appointed on July 1, 2009 as the first Director Chair of the Confucius Institute at McMaster University, Dr. Angela Sheng will assume the responsibility for the CI for a five-year term. She will also continue to teach courses in Art History that she began in 2005 when she joined the School of Arts (SOTA). Her research areas include Interculturality along the Silk Road and transdiscplinary comparison of the art and visual culture of selected minorities in China with the Inuit of Canada.
