Bio/Research

Anita Skeen is an expert in poetry, women's literature, American and contemporary literature. Margaret Atwood is the focus of her Canadian literature research. She is the director of the Center for Poetry and the arts coordinator in the college. She develops and coordinates student-based community and collaborative research projects to bring the humanities to the public arena. She is the director of the Creative Arts Festival and Fall Writing Festival at the Ghost Ranch Conference Center in Abiquiu, N.M. She received her undergraduate degree from Concord College, Athens W. Va., and her master's degrees from Bowling Green State University.
