Dr. Castaldo teaches courses in Medieval and Renaissance literature, including Renaissance drama, Shakespeare and a special topics course on Marlowe. In addition, she teaches a course on fairy tales and vampires and a senior seminar for English majors on the editing of Shakespeare’s texts. Dr. Castaldo is also the Director of the Women's Studies Program at Widener.
Her research interests include studies of Shakespeare and popular culture, specifically Shakespeare on film and Shakespeare festivals. She is Treasurer of the Mid-Atlantic Popular/American Culture Association and organizes a spring Shakespeare festival at Widener.
