Bio/Research

Research projects in the Rojas Lab straddle the lines between organic and inorganic chemistry, chemical biology, and applications in the medical field. In particular, we’re interested in developing ‘intelligent’ or responsive MRI contrast agents capable of providing spatial and temporal feedback during magnetic resonance imaging of tissues, in vivo. Researchers in this lab have the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary projects that allow them to develop technical skills across a variety of fields. It is our hope that as we develop integral laboratory techniques, we also develop the ability to think critically about research problems, learn current literature in the field, develop research methods, and improve our ability as writers and presenters capable of disseminating complex information to the general public.
