Dr. Margaritis' main areas of expertise are Biochemical and Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioprocessing and Environmental Engineering. He is the author of over 366 refereed journal publications and scientific conference presentations, 10 patents, and so far he trained and graduated 70 Ph.D. and Masters students in Biochemical Engineering. Several of Dr. Margaritis Ph.D. students now hold academic professorial positions in Canada and abroad and some started and run successfully their own Biotechnology companies.
