Professor Keysar, a demographer, is associate research professor in public policy and law and the associate director of the Institute for the Study of Secularism in Society and Culture at Trinity College. She was the study director of the 2001 American Religious Identification Survey and co-author of a new book, Religion in a Free Market, Religious and Non-Religious Americans: Who, What, Why, and Where (Paramount Market Publishing) June 2006.
She is the associate director of the landmark Longitudinal Study of American and Canadian Conservative Youth. So far, the study has tracked a cohort of young Jews at three points in their lives: their bar/bat mitzvah in 1995, the high school years in 1999, and college in 2003.
Dr. Keysar was born in Israel and holds a B.A. in statistics and an M.A. and Ph.D. in demography from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel.
