Arnab's current research interest is in (i) labor market institutions and active labor market policies in developing economies (Labor Contracts, Minimum Wage Laws, Employment Guarantee Schemes, Informal Sector and Human Trafficking); (ii) consumers' willingness-to-pay for social and eco-labeled products (e.g., Fair Trade Coffee); and (iii) international aid disbursement after natural disasters. Arnab is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn and a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn, Germany. He was awarded a Research Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany in 2007.
