Bio/Research

Lerner-Lam’s work in seismology and hazard research has led him to testify before the House Science Committee on the nation’s tsunami warning plan as well as to call for, in the aftermath of 9/11, an increased consideration for placing seismographic stations in high-density urban areas. His research in seismology has focused on regions around the world, including Central America and the Caribbean, the Colorado Rockies and eastern Kazakhstan.
