My Bachelor’s degree is from the renowned interdisciplinary Arts and Science program at McMaster University. From there I went on to an MA in Economics from McMaster, a Juris Doctor at the University of Toronto, and ultimately a PhD in Economics, also from the University of Toronto.

My research has mainly focused on how legal/regulatory environments shape the trading patterns of developing countries. My work in these areas have been published, most notably, in the Journal of International Economics and the Journal of Comparative Economics.
