Primary research program focuses on predictors of parenting, the inter-generational transmission of parenting practices, and the relationship between parenting and children's outcomes. She is especially interested in parenting interventions that promote security of infant attachment to caregivers. She is also interested in the work-family interface and the role of work and family policy in supporting family functioning and individual wellbeing.
