Bio/Research

Bonnie Costello is Professor of English and the author of many books and articles on modern and contemporary poetry. A frequent focus of her research is the relationship between literature and the visual arts. Professor Costello’s publications also include several translations of Italian poetry, and literary essays on travel, nature and memory. She is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the recipient of Boston University’s Metcalf Award for Excellence in Teaching, and United Methodist Scholar/Teacher of the Year Award.
