Bio/Research
Dr. Gilio is currently serving as the Acting Dean of the new School of Education, Innovation, and Continuing Studies. Prior to assuming this position, she was the Director of the K-12 Educational Leadership Programs and a faculty member. Before coming to Widener University in 2007, she taught for 10 years in public high schools and also spent 20 years in administration, including her last position as an assistant superintendent of a school district.
Dr. Gilio is serving as the President-elect of the Delaware Valley Region of the PA Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and has served the profession as a presenter at numerous national, state and regional conferences and in school districts. Her research and publications have been in the area of leadership for school improvement.
