Carmela Murdocca is Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at York University and is a member of the graduate programs in Sociology, Socio-Legal Studies and Social and Political Thought. She has been a Canada-U.S. Fulbright Scholar and Visiting Fellow at the Center for the Study of Law and Culture at Columbia University. Her research focuses on the sociology of law, race and gender with an emphasis on historical injustice and social marginalization.
