Bio/Research

Dr. Catherine Ellis is an Associate Professor in the Department of History. Her research focuses on modern Britain, particularly the development of the Labour Party and the integration of youth into British political life since the Second World War. She is currently a Visiting Scholar at Massey College (University of Toronto), where she is writing a book on youth in postwar British political culture. Her teaching includes courses on the First World War, the Third Reich, the history of children and youth, and European intellectual history.
