I work on big questions in contemporary philosophy, mainly focusing on the French tradition:
1) God and atheism 2) what is a human being? 3) how should we think about the environment?
Atheism is difficult, humanity is harder to pin down than you'd think, and there's no such thing as the "environment". Religion is everywhere in society, even among those of us who wouldn't call ourselves believers. God isn't dead; he's just moved house.
