She also works as a consultant specializing in the non-hierarchical workplace. She holds a Ph.D. in feminist organizational theory (University of Alberta), and has published a number of articles and chapters in books dealing with feminist organizational theory and its practical application for organizing. Dr. Oseen worked in China in the 1980s, an experience that had a profound impact on her understanding of how people could work together to get things done without exploiting each other.
