I am interested in how somatic practices can offer insights into political questions concerning freedom, autonomy, and the self, or even how somatic practices might themselves be practices of freedom.
I’m also interested in the politics and philosophy of health and illness, especially mental health as it relates to gender and sexuality. I’m a co-investigator on a Canadian Institutes of Health Research grant based in the Faculty of Nursing at Dalhousie University. The research project aims to investigate the experiences of queer women with/and their primary health care providers.
