I am a professor at Cornell University where I run a research lab dedicated to understanding how our bodies detect and eliminate infections. I teach immunology and about vaccines to undergraduates, graduate students, and professional veterinary students. I have been a part of the Cornell Public Voices Fellowship during which I have published opinion articles on CNN, Pacific Standard and the Pharmaceutical Journal. I have also been interviewed on the radio and had an appearance on Huffington Post Live. I have a passion to help others understand our immune system and how vaccines work.
