Ph.D., is a practitioner in residence in the department of social sciences, modern languages. Her research is in Russian literature and culture of the 19th and 20th centuries and has focused on constructs of memory and remembering in the works of Anton Chekhov as related to social, religious, and aesthetic trends in Russian culture of the period. Her research focuses on Russian émigré memoir literature in the 20th century and the translation of Russian works of this genre. She also has a research interest in secondary language acquisition, specifically in developing literary and cultural textual materials at the intermediate level, as well as in developing translation skills at the intermediate-advanced levels of proficiency.
