Dave Walton is a physiotherapist and Assistant Professor with the School of Physical Therapy at UWO. He is the research director of c-WhIP, an instructor in the Master's of Clinical Science program in Manipulative Therapy at the University of Western Ontario, and a co-founder of the Pain Science Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He is fascinated by all things pain, with particular emphasis on those clinical and research phenomena that can be harnessed to improve satisfaction and well-being of people in pain. Dr. Walton's research interests are primarily in the area of predicting, preventing and managing chronic or persistent pain and pain-related disability. He is fortunate to have the opportunity to work with clinical physiotherapists in the field who provide invaluable guidance and feedback at all stages of research design, data collection, interpretation and dissemination of results.
