Bio/Research

David Zitner holds a post-retirement appointment as Professor in the Medical Informatics program and is an active member of the Medical Informatics Advisory Committee. Prior to retirement from Dalhousie University, Dr. Zitner was the Founding Director of the Medical Informatics program. He currently teaches in the Master of Health Informatics program (a collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine and Computer Science at Dalhousie University). Dr. Zitner led the creation of this, the first Canadian graduate programs in health informatics. The Master of Health Informatics program aims to create a group of experts with the knowledge and skills required to capture, use and distribute information to support health services analysis and delivery.
