Denise Young is a Professor in the Department of Economics and Associate Director of CBEEDAC. Her BA (Economics and French) and MA (Economics) are from McMaster University. Her PhD is from the University of Toronto. She spent one year as a Lecturer at Trent University in Peterborough before joining the Department of Economics at the University of Alberta in 1989. Her research interests lie in the area of applied econometrics where she has published papers in the areas of resource economics, economic history and urban economics.
