Bio/Research
Dequan Xiao, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in chemistry and chemical engineering, and is directing the Laboratory for Integrative Materials Discovery. His research interests focus on using chemistry theories and computational chemistry to drive the discovery of optimum materials such as biomass catalysts, molecular drugs, and soft nanomaterials. He has expertise is in energy transfer, nonlinear optics, catalysis, and inverse molecular design. He has published 28 peer-reviewed articles and two book chapters and holds four patents.
