Bio/Research

Diane Krumrey, Associate Professor of English, received a B. A. from the University of Illinois and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut. She teaches courses in American literature and culture, modernism and postmodernism, ethnic American literature, writing, and world literature. Her research and writing specialties are early American narrative and Native American literature. As a Fulbright Grant recipient, Dr. Krumrey lectured and researched at the Universit├Ąt Dortmund in Germany. In 2010, Dr. Krumrey founded the Necessary Voices Writers and Thinkers Lecture Series, which brings poets, critics, and philosophers to speak to the UB community. Dr. Krumrey serves as chair of the English department and head of the Honors Program.
