Since 1992, Dr. Magnuson has studied conflict resolution and mediation programs in schools, young people’s existential and developmental experience of “vocation,” the moral experience of youth in cooperative, competitive, and individualistic settings, developmental processes in after-school programs, and power and influence in child protection. Most of this work is action research or applied evaluation and the study of group experience in a variety of settings.
