Ed Madison is an academic expert in journalism and media. At the University of Oregon, he is an assistant professor in the School of Journalism and Communication and the Media Partnership coordinator. Ed is a founding producer at CNN. He spent 27 years as an executive producer/director of network television, film and commercial projects. An Apple Distinguished Scholar, Ed is currently working with a group of students on a project called “Don’t Wait for the Quake,” an outlet to measure how journalism can impact Oregonians’ attitudes toward earthquake preparedness.
