Bio/Research

Dr. Edward Geist received a Masters and Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Columbia University. He is the Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences, Director of Literature and Civilization, and Director of General Studies. Dr. Geist teaches British Literature, Shakespeare, Major Figures in Literature, Understanding English Grammar, and Murder as a Theme in Literature. Over the years he has served in many capacities at the University of Bridgeport, including Director of Composition, Coordinator of Undeclared Students, Director of Humanities, and Director of the First Year's Study Program.
